Chandipur sea beach is very close to Balasore town in Odisha. 4 hour motor drive and train journey either from Kolkata or Bhubaneswar. It is a beach where sea waters goes back miles during low tide and come back during high tide. Perfect place for vacation. There are other sight seeing places around.

Panchalingeshwar Temple is around 30 minutes drive from Balasore town where five Shivalinga are enshrined inside water. The temple is on top of a hillock near the Nilgiri hill. The Shivalingas are said to have been enshrined by Sita, the wife of Lord Rama during their exile. It is a calm and quiet place for vacation.

Kuldiha is a dense forest mostly covered with thick growth of sishu, sal, piyasal, mango, bahera, jam and simul trees that make it the perfect home to a wide number of animals like wild cats, elephants, long tailed monkeys, cheetals, gaur, leopard, giant squirrel as well as some bird species like peafowl, hill myna and hornbill. Visiting Devkund water fall in the forest is an outstanding experience Forest department provides eco accommodation inside the forest. The Kuldiha forest area merges into the Simlipal Forest through the Nato hill and Sukhupada hill ranges.

Simlipal National Park is a tiger reserve in the Mayurbhanj district in Odisha. It is an Elephant Reserve and is an ecosystem complete with forest vegetation (mainly sal trees), fauna and the adjoining Ho / Santhal tribal settlements. The park has some beautiful waterfalls like Joranda and Barehipani. Simlipal is home to Tiger, Elephant, Indian bison, Chausingha etc. This Reserve is part of the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserve since 2009. Simlipal Tiger Reserve is famous for best care of tigers in India.
